Kern County Fire officials released the following statement:
Just after 12:30 AM this morning, the Kern County Fire Department received a call for a structure fire at the Stallion Springs Resort on the 28000 block of Horse Thief Dr.
Crews arrived on scene to a single story 5000 square foot building used for golf cart storage with heavy smoke and flames seen coming from the entire structure.
An augmented alarm was immediately dispatched.
The first arriving crew determined the building was fully involved and a defensive attack was ordered with a primary focus on exposure protection for the main club house .
The storage building and all equipment inside is a total loss.
There were no occupants in the buildings and no injuries.
With a quick response, the fire was extinguished within a few hours.
There was no damage to the exposure building. Cause is undetermined at this time.
Arson units are investigating.
The storage building loss is estimated at $500,000- $1,000,000.
The Club house is valued at $500,000-$1,000,000
