BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Investigators are still looking into what caused an abandoned house fire in East Bakersfield. It happened on Gage Street just south of Lake Street before 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Fire officials say the home has caught fire multiple times in the past, so fire department crews surrounded the home on each side to prevent it's spread and let the inside burn.
Once several interior walls burned the water cannon knocked the walls causing it to collapse on itself.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
