A family home was destroyed after a fire late Sunday night.

Fire officials were called to Spangler Road in Delano for a structure fire. When they arrived, the single family home was totally involved.

The home was remotely located in an orange orchard. Firefighters had to shuttle water from two hours away.

The cause is under investigation. Loss is $185,000.
