BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Local firefighters worked to contain a fire near railroad tracks in East Bakersfield Friday evening.

The call came in just past 9 p.m. near Kentucky and Haley streets by the railroad tracks for the flames.

23ABC's crew on scene says a big pile of railroad ties were on fire.

There have been no injuries reported.

No word on how the fire started, this is a developing story.
