Firefighters responded to a fire on Irene Street near Baker Street in East Bakersfield Thursday night around 8:30 p.m.
Two structures were affected by the three alarm fire. The first structure was seriously damaged and the second structure was about 20% damaged, according to KCFD.
No one was inside and no one wa injured.
The home the fire started in has been vacant for years, but people have been seen in and out of it, according to reports.
Officials think the fire may have been started by transients. Firefighters found a propane tank inside one of the buildings.
The fire is under investigation.
