Firefighters are working to get a wildfire burning near the Fresno-Merced county lines fully contained Thursday morning.

According to CalFire, the blaze erupted Wednesday afternoon south of Los Banos off Interstate 5. 

The blaze covered 1,700 acres, but is 80-percent contained. 

According to ABC30 in Fresno, the blaze injured a firefighter. The firefighter is expected to be OK.
