UPDATE: Kern County Fire is investigating a second fire this morning in Northwest Bakersfield.

They received a call just after 6:00 a.m. Thursday Morning to a fire at Rosedale Pawn, on Rosedale and Mohawk.

Arson investigators are currently on scene. The fire is considered suspicious.

A structure fire broke out in Oildale this morning. 

It happened just before 6:45 a.m. on Beardsley Avenue, off Plymouth Avenue. 

The Kern County Fire Department says the fire started in the kitchen and one person is displaced. No word if there was a working smoke alarm. 

KCFD also says a power line dropped. Four to five small homes were threatened, but not affected by the fire. 

Part of Beardsley Avenue is currently closed near Plymouth Avenue.
