A home in Oildale is destroyed after a blaze rips through overnight.
According to Kern County Fire Department, it happened just before 12:45 a.m. on Woodrow Avenue and California Street.
Witnesses reported hearing an explosion then seeing several people run out of a house.
There were also reports of a huge fireball.
It took 20 minutes for firefighters to put out the flames. While there is no injuries, a puppy did die from the fire.
Fire officials estimate $60 thousand dollars in damages.
