Kern County's first Firehouse Subs restaurant will be opening Monday at the Outlets at Tejon.
The restaurant will be located at 5601 Dennis McCarthy Drive near the base of the Grapevine.
In a press release, the company says its firefighter decor will reflect its location in Kern County.
"It boasts a custom, hand-painted mural that depicts the Kern County Fire Department responding to a brush fire at the Tejon Ranch, a famous California landmark showcasing the beauty of this agriculturally rich Central Valley region with a lush mountainscape in the distance," the press release said.
The restaurant is also expected to display firefighter memorabilia.
