BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The First 5 Kern held a commission meeting on December 5 to discuss the Help Me Grow initiative.
The meeting had a guest visit from Elaine Anthony, the MCAH/SIDS coordinator for Kern County Public Health. Marc Thibault will also present on trauma-informed care and the commission will get an update on the initiative.
The First 5 Kern commission is made up of nine individuals, who determined the focus of funding through community input and strategic planning and oversee the evaluation of funded programs.
