First case of COVID-19 confirmed in San Luis Obispo County

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The first confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported in San Luis Obispo County, according to the SLOC Public Health Department.

In a press release, the department states that the individual is over the age of 65 ad has pre-existing health conditions.

The individual displayed symptoms, including fever, cough and shortness of breath and is currently recovering in isolation at their residence.

Local health officials their believe the confirmed case is a result of community transmission.
