Although this is not Kern County natives Sarah and Brad Beagley’s first baby (they’ve had four already) their newborn daughter, Vivian Beagley was the first born in Kern County in the New Year.
“It was no big no big deal, just like all the other times,” Sarah Beagley said. “I found out I was pregnant and came when I was told to.”
Vivian was born at 12:01 a.m. at 11 pounds 11 ounces, and 21.25 inches at kern medical.
“My water didn’t even break, my baby is so giant, we came in early to have her,” Sarah Beagley said.
The Beagleys are high school sweethearts, both from Kern County and went to high school in Bakersfield. When asked what it was like watching his wife essentially perform a miracle during a pandemic, Beagley said his wife is a “pretty strong woman.”
“She doesn’t let much get her down,” Brad Beagley said. “She’s a positive woman and has been a trooper.”
Sarah Beagley added that their five year old daughter has been wanting a sister.
“We have three boys and one girl, so when she found out she’s having a sister, she said she was so happy that she doesn’t have to be alone anymore,” Sarah Beagley said.
Kern Medical said mom and baby Vivian are healthy.
