First responders wish Kern County a merry Christmas

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Local first responders took to Facebook over the last few days to wish Kern County residents a merry Christmas.

The Bakersfield Police Department posted a photo of an officer, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. The department wished everyone a great holiday.

Bakersfield Fire Department Chief Anthony Galagaza shared a video in which he sent season's greetings to the community, especially the firefighters who worked on Christmas and were away from their families.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office uploaded a photo of a sheriff's badge with Christmas decorations adorning it. KCSO wished everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department donned their festive hats for a special Christmas photo.

Members of the California Highway Patrol's Bakersfield office shared a photo of them in uniform along with a caption wishing residents a merry Christmas.

"May your days be merry and bright" was the caption on a photo shared by CHP Fort Tejon officers on Facebook.

CHP Buttonwillow uploaded an image of a highway patrol cruiser in front of a pumpjack. Officers wished everyone a merry Christmas and included Christmas tree emojis in the post.
