On Monday, May 22, 2017, at approximately 4:00 pm, officers of the Bakersfield Police Department contacted several subjects in the 500 block of 28th Street.

All of the subjects ran from officers while discarding a loaded, stolen firearm.

As a result of the investigation Antonio Ramirez, 30, Isaiah Shotwell, 19, Caleb Bell, 18, and two male juveniles were arrested for conspiracy, possession of stolen property, firearm, and gang related charges.

Due to the inherent risk to the general public a bail increase was authorized in the amount of $1,000,000.
