Five suspects involved in a May incident were arrested and charged for kidnapping, mayhem, attempted murder, and gang participation Monday, according to KCSO.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 2141 So. Chester Ave on May 31 where they found a subject who was held down and had one of his fingers cut off.

The KCSO Gang Unit took on the investigation and identified five suspects who were members or associates of a local criminal street gang. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Delfino Barboza, 33-year-old Felicia Coria, 27-year-old Felipe Rosales, and a 17 and 15 year old male juvenile.

Four of the suspects were arrested Monday.

Around 11:45 a.m., deputies arrested the 17-year-old juvenile in front of his residence.

Deputies later took Coria, the 15-year-old suspect, and Rosales into custody.

Barboza is currently in custody in Wasco State Prison on unrelated charges.

All suspects were booked on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, kidnapping, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
