Flash Flood Warning issued in areas of Kern County

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a flash flood warning including Lake Isabella, Bodfish and Miracle Hot Springs until 5:45 p.m.

At 3:37 p.m. PDT, Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is occurring or expected to begin on Sunday.

The NWS Hanford says warns to avoid walking or driving through flood waters and move immediately to higher ground.
