A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon through late tonight for the Kern County Mountains and Southeastern Kern County Desert.
The National Weather Service said scattered thunderstorms with heavy rain could lead to flash flooding.
The most favorable area of heavy rainfall will be from Mount Pinos to Frazier Park and Southeastern Kern County Desert.
Flash flooding could also occur along Interstate 5 over the Grapevine and Highway 58 from Tehachapi Pass to the Kern County Desert.
