In honor of National Donut Day, Flood Bakersfield Ministries and The United Way of Kern County are teaming up for a "Donuts and Donations Drive" in order to help the homeless in Kern County.
Flood Ministries is selling boxes of a dozen donuts for $12 each and the United Way is accepting new or gently used household items. Funds raised from the sale will benefit Flood's street outreach program. Items donated to the United Way's ReGIVE Project will provided household items to those transitioning out of homelessness and into a new home.
Examples of household items include refrigerators, beds, couches, microwaves, dishes, cleaning products.
