BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The mouthwatering smells of delicious BBQ will be wafting through Kern County on Saturday, June 15 as the BBQ Throwdown holds its first event!
The inaugural food festival will be taking over Stramler Park. It's being hosted by the Kern County Raiders Booster Club.
Some talented grillers from Porkchop and Bubba's BBQ joined us for Foodie Friday to give us a sneak peak.
There will be more than 30 competitors at the BBQ Throwdown.
There will also be live music provided by "Lost Vinyl" and "DJ Clever" along with beer, food and merchandise booths.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. A portion of the funds raised will go to the Wounded Heroes Fund.
