BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- — The Chabad of Bakersfield is giving the community an opportunity to learn about Rosh Hashanah with a special baking event.
Esther Schlanger of the Chabad of Bakersfield joined us in Studio B to demonstrate how to make a proper challah ahead of the Jewish New Year, an event that celebrates Jewish pride and unity.
Schlanger wants to teach Kern County about the meanings of a challah, and how to bake one like a pro.
If you're interested in learning more, the Chabad of Bakersfield is hosting an event on Sunday, September 22 from 6-8 p.m. For a $10 fee, you'll be able to bake your own challah.
If you would like to attend, email rabbi@chabadofbakersfield.com to RSVP by Thursday, September 19.
