Foothill High School is getting final preparations underway as they get ready for the 48th annual Peg Pauly Shakespeare Festival.
This year nine Kern High School District schools will be participating in the friendly competition which is a tradition that has showcased the districts talented young actors.
The Foothill Shakespeare Festival begins today, Friday October 20, 2017 at 9 a.m. inside of the Peg Pauly Auditorium.
On Saturday October 21, 2017 the schools will be mono, duo, trio day with those in the festival competing against each one another in a ratings contest. The festivities will also begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and a second round will begin at 11 a.m.
Local drama instructors will be judging the performances put on by the students.
