Los Padres National Forest officials are looking for women to attend an introductory fire training camp designed to train entry level firefighters.

The Women in Wildfire Training Camp will provide a basic knowledge of firefighting techniques, suppression equipment, safety, fire behavior, and more.

After completion of the program, participants will be highly competitive for wildland firefighter positions.

The camp will begin Monday, November 28 and conclude Friday, December 2. The five day camp will be in Santa Barbara, California.
