Former Kern County deputy arrested on assault, false imprisonment charges

Update: (Monday, November 28th, 2 p.m.) : A Sheriff Official said former deputy Gideon Allday was arrested after allegedly assaulting his mother.

According to KCSO, Allday's mother went to pick him up in the 400 block of Ming Avenue Thursday night when he allegedly assaulted her after getting out of the car. She returned home and called 911. She told deputies that he choked her. Allday was arrested the following morning at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission. 

 

A former Kern County Sheriff's deputy was arrested today on an assault with great bodily injury charge along with a misdemeanor false imprisonment charge.

Gideon Allday was booked into the Kern County jail just after 4:30 p.m on $35,000 bail.

The reason for the charges was not immediately available.

Allday is facing multiple charges from a previous case including battery, false imprisonment,  assault, threaten with intent to terrorize among many other charges.

Allday will appear in court on November 29th.
