Bakersfield native and former NFL player Anthony McClanahan made his first court appearance in a Utah courtroom on Monday for charges alleging he stabbed his wife to death.
McClanahan, 46, is facing first-degree murder and un-related child kidnapping charges. He's accused of killing his wife, Keri "KC" McClanahan, 28, at a Park City, Utah resort on Nov. 2.

McClanahan's defense attorneys said on Monday that they are still looking at his case, according to the Desert News in Utah.

McClanahan is due back in court next week.
