Fourth Annual Bakersfield Christmas Tree Lighting scheduled for Nov. 28th

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield announced that it's annual Christmas Tree Lighting event has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 28th.

Among those scheduled to be in attendance are city councilmembers and Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh.

A live nativity and Santa Claus are expected to be part of the event.

The event will take place at Centennial Plaza in front of Mechanics Bank Arena. It will begin at 4:30 p.m., with Santa Claus arriving at around 5:00 p.m.

The City is asking anyone planning to attend to practice social distancing and to wear a face-covering if social distancing is not possible.
