It started as a fundraiser to improve medical conditions in Frazier Park, now it's a tradition spanning five decades. The Frazier Park Fiesta Days brought a weekend filled with fun to Kern County's southern mountain community.
The three-day event kicked off Friday with a Lego contest, pet show and car show. Then continued Saturday with a 1950s costume contest, eating competitions and tug-a-war contest. While finishing Friday with a dry fishing derby, worship in the park and log sawing contest. All three days had a carnival, live music and crafts, food and beer vendors.
Saturday and Sunday mornings both started with a pancake breakfast. Proceeds from the breakfast help pay for the insurance on the local Frazier Park VFW building.
