SHAFTER, Calif. — Fred Starrh, a very well-known farmer in Kern County, has passed away at age 89.

Starrh's granddaughter tells 23ABC that he passed away on Tuesday.

The family is inviting everyone to attend his services.

The services are scheduled for Sunday April 28 in Shafter at the Mennonite Brethren Church at 4 p.m. Visitation will be held at Peter's Funeral Home in Shafter on April 27-28.
