Adventist Health Bakersfield is offering FREE immunizations in honor of back to school for children under the age of 18.
The mobile unit will be stationed at the Walmart parking lot on 5075 Gosford Rd between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and again between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
The vaccines are free for children who don't have health insurance, are eligible for Medi-Cal, and those who are American Indian or Native Alaskan.
No appointment is necessary for those who want to take advantage of the vaccine mobile unit, however immunization cards are required.
The Hemoglobin test will also be available on the mobile unit free of charge for children, expecting and post-partum mothers.
Due to First 5 Kern funding, children 5 years of age and younger will be given priority.
