Free marriage retreat for Veterans held in Sequoia National Forest

Local veterans and their spouses took part in a free marriage retreat in the Sequoia National Forest this past weekend. 

The Nature Corps, a nature group invited couples from across California. Executive Director Mark Landon says high divorce rates among veterans inspired him to start it. 

During the weekend, couples worked one-on-one with marriage coach Dayne Mansfield. They also planted their own sequoia trees -- a symbolic representation of their relationships. 

This was the second time they held the marriage retreat and plan to do it again next year. For more information on how to take part visit their website:
