Free movie night in the park starts next month

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It's that time of the year where you can kick back and enjoy a movie in the park... for FREE!

That's right! Spectrum and the City of Bakersfield are offering their complimentary Movies in the Park.

All you need to do is bring your picnic gear, lawn chairs, and blankets to enjoy a movie out under the stars on Friday nights at the parks listed below:

  • June 7: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse showing at Spectrum Amphitheatre and The Park at River Walk
  • June 14: Ralph Breaks the Internet showing at Lowell Park
  • June 21: Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation showing at Jefferson Park
  • June 28: The Lego Movie: The Second Part showing at Greystone Park
  • July 5: Sherlock Gnomes showing at Wilson Park
  • July 12: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World showing at Silver Creek Park
  • July 19: Incredibles 2 showing at Tarina Homes Sports and Complex at Mesa Marin Park
  • July 26: The Nutcracker and The Four Realms showing at Spectrum Amphitheatre and The Park at River Walk

All show times listed are scheduled for Friday nights beginning at dusk.
