Those looking to purchase a home can attend a workshop on Thursday that's designed to teach first-time home buying programs, qualifying for home loan financing and more.

Allyn Medeiros of Agape Mortgage, who has over 16 years of experience in mortgage finance, will be leading the workshop on May 17. Medeiros and Marvin Bush, a real estate agent with over 10 years of experience, will explain a simple five-step home-buying process that a consumer will feel confident and financially secure when purchasing their first home.

The workshop is happening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University of LaVerne at 10800 Stockdale Highway.
