The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is seeking help finding potential sexual assault victims who have had contact with 26-year old Cesar Eduardo Chavez.

According to officials, Chavez is facing felony charges of kidnapping, assault likely to cause great bodily injury, attempted rape, sexual penetration with a foreign object and robbery. He is also facing misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment.

The Sheriff's Office received two separate reports where Chavez was identified as a suspect for sexual assault.

According to officials, both cases involved Chavez contacting the women through social media under different names before driving them to a rural part of Fresno County. Deputies said that both of the women would then ask Chavez to take them home. He would refuse and ask them to have sex all while becoming increasingly aggressive.

Deputies said that both woman reported that they would fight Chavez off before escaping the vehicle.

Officials said that both victims only communicate with Chavez, who goes by the names of Cesar and Eduardo on social media. They did not know him personally.

Detectives believe that Chavez may have targeted other women, but they may not have reported the incidents to law enforcement.
