The man accused of killing four men in a Fresno murder spree in April is headed to trial.
Kori Muhammad is accused of killing Carl Williams, Zack Randalls, Mark Gassett and David Jackson in Fresno back in April. Prosecutors hired a psychiatrist who said Muhammad is mentally competant to defend himself in court.
Meanwhile, two court-appointed psychiatrists said he was not. His defense attorney said the suspect was diagnosed with Schizophrenia from the time he was a child.
Muhammad admitted to his crimes in an interview in April, saying he murdered security guard Carl Williams after he disrespected him and his friend, motivated in part by racial hatred.
A jury will decide whether he is competant. Attorneys will set a date for trial on that issue next month.
