Friends and family held a vigil tonight to remember Ernesto Ramirez, Jr.

Police said they found Ramirez suffering from multiple gun shot wounds early Friday morning in northeast Bakersfield in the 2700 block of University Ave.

Police said they still do not have any information about the suspect or suspects in the case.

Friends of Ramirez are asking anyone with information to please come forward.

"He was a compassionate, loving person and he had two children who he left behind. A loving wife and mother and father along with brothers and sisters who will miss him dearly through this tragedy," said Amy Balderas who attended the vigil.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with burial costs.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
