BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Football and military veterans are two of the most patriotic things Bakersfield supports. Friday November 1st, Frontier High School and Centennial High School will combine the two during their 3rd Annual Salute to Service game.

The 2019 edition of this rivalry game, which supports our Kern County military veterans, will be played at Titan Stadium on the Frontier High School's campus. Before the game there will be a barbecue for veterans, family, fans and friends, and veterans are invited to line the field before the teams take the field.

A limited number of Salute to Service shirts will be available during the game. Each high school made a version representing their school on the front and all the service branches on the back. Money from the shirts, raffle and game will benefit the Wounded Heroes Fund helping local Kern County veterans.

The 3rd Annual Salute to Service game will kickoff at 7 p.m. Friday November 1st at Titan Stadium on Frontier High School's campus. Tickets are $7.
