BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Funeral service arrangements for the late Jose Arredondo have been made, according to a release obtained by 23ABC.

Arrerondo, a well-known Bakersfield businessman who was reportedly beaten to death in Mexico one week ago will be buried at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park on Thursday.

The visitation service is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. followed by his funeral at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Seventh Day Adventist Church on Wilson Road.

According to prosecutors in Mexico Jose Arredondo was reportedly beaten to death in the town of San Jose Del Cabo.

The Baja California Sur State Prosecutors Office says they were called to a condo after someone reported a body. They said the body showed signs of blunt force trauma.

Arredondo was the owner of the Family Motors Auto Group.
