The future of marijuana in Kern County could be decided Tuesday at the Board of Supervisors meeting.
The sale of marijuana at pot shops has been a hotly contested subject in Kern County with sides calling for regulation and sides calling for an all out ban.
The Kern County Planning Commission is recommending pot shops be regulated in Kern County.
The Board of Supervisors have two options on the table.
Option A would be to ban pot shops in unincorporated parts of Kern County.
Option B would regulate the sales of marijuana at pot shops.
Supervisors will meet this morning starting at 9 a.m.
