A Garces High School student is being called a hero on Friday after officials said he helped rescue a man who drove his truck through a fence and into a canal.
Officials said on social media that Dominic Fanucchi, a sophomore, and his mother witnessed the accident when Fanucchi went into action.
Garces officials added that this is not the first time Fanucchi has stopped to help someone in need.
Fanucchi is a student athlete at Garces and is currently on the school's basketball team.
"Dominic, you make all of us proud to be a Ram," Garces officials said.
