BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Some good news this morning if you need to fill up your car. Gas prices are on a downward trend as the average price per gallon has dropped a little more than 5 cents in the last week in Bakersfield.
Right now gas prices are averaging $3.64 a gallon. That's about 17 cents down from a month ago according to gasbuddy.com. Around the nation, the average price of gas has fallen to $2.63 per gallon.
According to analysts, it's because of increased refinery production and lower oil costs.
