Gas prices are expected to drop below $2 a gallon this fall, according to the U.S. Energy Department.
The department expects the price to drop mostly due to the slump in oil prices and the switch to the winter blend of gasoline, which is cheaper to make.
In Bakersfield, gasbuddy.com shows we’re not down to $2 a gallon yet. Drivers are paying an average of $2.70, down 10 cents from a month ago.
