Golden Empire Transit and several other community organizations are partnering for food distribution event to feed those in need. 

Get is teaming up with the community action partnership of Kern and other several organizations. 

It will be held on the corner of 22nd and Eye streets starting at 9 a.m. on Friday. 

GET CEO Karen King says they have a goal of distributing food four times a year to impact lives of people who don't know where their next meal is coming from. 

There will also be a resource fair with other local organizations taking part.
