California Highway Patrol says a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle in East Bakersfield around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The bicyclist was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment of his minor injuries.

The crash happened on Flower Street near Gage Street. There was a GET bus nearby when the rider was hit, but a representative for GET says their bus was not involved.
