GET buses distributed food downtown Friday morning.

 

The Golden Empire Transit teamed up with several community partners to handout food at the corner of 22nd Street and Eye Street behind their downtown location. Among the food GET handed out included potatoes, rice, beans, canned food, fruit drink, corn, strawberries, oranges and bread. 

 

Friday was one of four food distribution events GET does annually. They also held a resource fair with their community partners during the food distribution event. Partners include Self Help Federal Credit Union and Community Action Partnership of Kern Food Bank, or CAPK Food Bank.
