BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — At the Kern County Fair, one can expect to see rides, amusement and all sorts of various foods. What you might not expect to see are creepy crawlers.

There's a new exhibit where you may or may not want to eat what you see.

"So eating the bugs is the best part, there are ten different flavors," said Sierra Suttles, animal trainer for Pacific Animal Productions. "We have something for everyone."

The Bugology exhibit is where you can learn about bugs from around the world and have a crunchy snack.

"We have by the far the healthiest snacks at the fair and its packed full of protein and an incredible thing to eat," Suttles said.

There are several different flavors of bugs to try such as Jalapeno crickets to Pizza mealworms for attendees try.

Also, there are several hands-on buggy activities to venture through at the exhibit.

"We have all types of bugs you can try and different flavors and sizes and shapes for everybody," Suttles said. "As well as our butterfly house where you can come and feed the butterflies and learn all about bugs around the world right in your backyard."

The buggy exhibit will be in building 1 for the full duration of the fair and close daily at 10 p.m.
