BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Help feed thousands of those in need throughout Kern County with The Mission at Kern County's adopt-a-meal program.

The program is a part of their meal ministry to provide those interested in feeding those interested in giving a meal to the homeless in their kitchen.

Each meal sponsored serves 250-300 individuals experiencing homelessness or without the money to purchase food.

The menu includes meals such as spaghetti, enchiladas and herb baked chicken. The program also provides the opportunity to assist preparing the meal in the kitchen and serving to those in need.

The cost of adopting a meal ranges from $400 dollars to $650 dollars, and there are options of sponsoring portions of a meal.

The Mission at Kern County is located in Central Bakersfield, at 816 E. 21st Street.

For those interested in adopting a meal now or during the holiday season can contact the mission at (661) 325-0863.
