Due to bad air quality today Golden Empire Transit is offering residents of Bakersfield free rides throughout the day.

Both GET fixed routes and GET-a-lift rides will be offered free of charge.

Residents are encouraged to download the San Joaquin Valley air pollution app to monitor the air quality.
