BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Today is the Golden Ox's last day. According to employees, the Niles Street location will be closing its doors for the final time today.
According to an employee who has been with the company for 20 years, the Niles location is owned independently from the locations on White Lane and Wilson Road. The employee does not know the reason the restaurant is closing.
The restaurant was founded in Bakersfield and is known for its biscuits and gravy dish. Employees at both of the other Golden Ox locations said that neither the Wilson Road nor the White Lane locations are closing.
