It's become one of the more popular restaurants in Downtown Bakersfield over the years. And now, Goose Loonies is set to capitalize on that popularity by expanding.

Jim Katsantonis, the owner of Goose Loonies Tavern & Grill confirmed with 23ABC that expansion is underway. 

Katsantonis said the new location will be located at the old Craft Tap House location on Truxtun and Oak. 

"The Goose is about to lay an egg, but it's not ready to hatch just yet," Katsantonis said. 

Katsantonis said renovations are currently underway and it's not known when the new restaurant would be opening its doors.
