Grape field worker shot in shoulder while working near Sabodan St. & Highway 166

METTLER, Calif. — A grape field worker was shot in the shoulder while working near Sabodan St. & Highway 166 around 4 p.m. on Monday, May 27.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, no one was seen or heard in the area, and there are no suspects at this time. No arrests have been made.

However, residents were reportedly shooting about one mile away from where the worker was shot. It is unknown at this time if these events are connected or not.

The worker was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
