23ABC obtained a video that shows security guards at Brix Lounge in northwest Bakersfield dropping a man to the ground on his head late Thursday night.

Bakersfield Police said officers were sent to the nightclub on Calloway Drive after they received reports of a threat.

Security detail at the club said one of the guards was attacked by a patron who was then kicked out. BPD said another patron threatened the guards.

In the video, you can see one of the men being dropped to the ground by security guards. Police also said one of the men was bleeding from the head.

Both patrons were arrested for public intoxication and one was also arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, BPD said.

Police haven't said whether any potential criminal activity was involved in how the guards handled the patrons.
